Raynaud's syndrome

 

idiopathic paroxysmal bilateral cyanosis of the digits due to arterial and arteriolar contraction; caused by cold or emotion. See Also: Raynaud's phenomenon. Syn: Raynaud's disease, symmetric asphyxia.

Spasm of the digital arteries, with blanching and numbness or pain of the fingers, often precipitated by cold.
